The cooker hood engineer will bring all the equipment, supplies and tools he/she needs to properly assemble and erect your new cooker hood. He/she will utilise the most appropriate fixing methods to solidly secure the
unit to the wall. You most likely have a concrete, brick or stud wall, so whichever type you have our engineer will use the right method to securely attach your kitchen extractor fan or your cooker hood to the wall.
Basic Electrical Supply Package of Either 1 or 5 Meters
Every cooker hood or kitchen extractor fan must be supplied with electricity. So, the engineer will either use 1 meter or 5 meters according to the package you selected, a Starter Bundle or a Silver Bundle. Before connecting
the electricity using a 3-core flex and plug the engineer will check the electrical source. This is the most cost-effective electrical package in our bundles.
Get the VIP treatment for your electrical supply to your cooker hood unit. This advanced electrical supply package is necessary when your source of electricity is more then 3 meters away. In this case the engineer will
need to chase in the electrical cable, use 16mm x 16mm mini trunking or get the power from upstairs. The decision will be up to the customer. Every bit of cable that has to be chased-in will be hidden under plaster
so that the kitchen is left looking perfect. This is extremely time consuming, but once all the work is done the engineer will provide you with a test certificate.
Cut Hole in Wall for Venting & Mount the Vent Grill
If you need a hole drilled so that your cooker hood or kitchen extractor fan can releases the heat, smoke and humidity to the outside, then we have an appropriate bundle. The engineer will use a 4” or 6” diamond core
drilling machine to drill the hole. If your cooker wall is being installed against an exterior wall our engineer will position the vent kit so it goes through the wall, releasing the fumes to the outside. The maximum
distance for this is 1 meter.
If your new cooker hood or kitchen extractor fan will not be on an exterior wall, more ducting will be required to vent the heat, smoke and humidity to the outside. The ducting can be run from the ceiling to the cabinet
and then on through the closest exterior wall. This is our VIP Bundle in which you get the vent kit along with 2 meters of ducting & one elbow. This will take time to complete, but our engineers are highly experienced
and can do the job.
